Purchase College Collaboration
From November 9 to 22, 2019 Thony Loui was an artist resident at the widely acclaimed School of Art + Design Purchase College in NY. to complete the work on his first 36 pages of Tanama’s comic book the “Origin of Tanama”, with the help of students to work on this website, particularly to add colors. This is a process that always takes a long time because Thony is colorblind.

Phillip HoSang
He is a 20 year old Brooklyn born artist who primarily focuses on working with color fields and relationships through pictorial, illustrative imagery. As a kid, Phillip loved engaging with different cartoons, films, and comics which have heavily influenced the content of his work. Specifically, his interests lie within the process of crafting the worlds he adored as a child, focusing on the different seeds of creation that formed into the narratives he enjoyed. In his own practice, Phillip utilizes color has the ignition point for the creation of his own pictorial worlds and landscapes, creating imagery reminiscent of the creative cartoony forms he connects to his childhood.
Angel Ramirez
Lives in Brooklyn, NY and is currently working to obtain a BFA from Purchase College School of Art and Design. While he is trained mainly in contemporary and traditional printmaking and fine art, his work ranges from photography video and sound, to graphic design, installation, and drawing.
